I have been teaching yoga for 17 years now. I teach multiple styles and each class is geared towards the level of the participants.
Classes are held outdoors whenever possible. It is my belief that doing yoga in a natural setting enhances the experience. The natural beauty of Camp Kiwanee, indoors and out, adds to the enjoyment of the classes.
Monday 4:00pm is a Gentle Yoga class. Anyone looking for a more gentle class that focuses on stretching and relieving stress is welcome. This class is generally held at the Needles Lodge - on the porch or in the library.
Tuesday and Thursday 9:30am is a Moderate Level Yoga class. There is an emphasis on stretching and also on building strength. This class is appropriate for beginners and experienced practitioners. This class is generelly held in or near the Needles Lodge but occasionally moves to other outdoor locations based on weather.
Wednesday 6:30pm is Gentle Yoga. This class is gentle and healing. We focus on the individual's needs and concentrate on relaxation and stretching. This class is held in the library of the Needles Lodge.
Saturday 9:30am are held whenever at least 3 people are available. You can let me know through email or facebook if you want to attend. Check the Saturday Yoga page for more information. In the good weather this class takes place on the beach. In bad or cold weather the location varies based on availability of the Lodge.
All classes are held at Camp Kiwanee.
In winter, all classes are held in the Needles Lodge.
Please dress for the weather, as many classes are held outdoors. Please keep in mind that Camp Kiwanee is a rustic setting so even indoor classes can be cold in winter.
